Swedish Projects

ARA in cooperation with Teknikkonsult AB (http://teknikkonsult.com/ ) got the asignment from Svenska kraftnät to make proposals to layout for a 400 kV crossing tower that could be used as standard solution in the 400 kV network for crossinng rivers, lakes, road structures or where long spans were needed for some reason.

The chosen layout was designed and the required drawings were made.

Tower height is 50 – 100 m to crossarm, 57 – 107 m to earth wires. It is designed for up to 800 m weight span and 600 m windspan. Depending on the crossing layout, distance to the towers back of the span and front of the span and conductor and earth wire initial tensioning crossing spans of 580 – 900+ m can be reached.
